Julieanne's heart goes to what she considers the best city in the world, Chicago. Indulging the city's food, music, culture, the neighborhoods and most importantly, the people. She has a passion for giving back to her community.
Working closely with the Executive Director, her roles include prospecting funds and raising awareness, cultivating new and current corporate, public & private foundations, and individual relationships, organizing fundraising events and helping to implement the overall marketing and social media strategy for the Chicago chapter. She is also responsible for managing the team in areas of operations and human resources as well as supporting and maintaining the Young Professionals Board.
Prior to joining the ASAS Family in January 2017, she received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology, minoring in Moving Image Arts from University of Illinois - Chicago, initially going to grad school for Physical Therapy. However, after volunteering much of her time with the In Her Shoes Foundation and building relationships in and out of the organization, she now focuses on making an impact to her community through fundraising and philanthropy.
She has attended Chicago Public Schools growing up and enjoyed the fond memories after-school programs had served. She is excited to be part of the ASAS team that continues to provide the same positive experiences and opportunities for lower-income families as they did for her. During her spare time, you can find Julieanne biking down the Lakeshore trail, creating travel vlogs of near and far places or seeking out local breweries from around the country.
